Operation:
My Best Buddy
If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one. - Mother Teresa
For our friends and family who must live life in hospitals and nursing homes, perhaps the only pain worse then that of their illness, injuries or age, is that of loneliness. So many have long days in many cases unchanging from day to day, week to week, month to month and year to year.
Nothing can bring more joy and an easing of suffering than a friend, a best buddy to share time with, if this time is only a few hours a week or phone calls. These visits, phone calls and time to time small treats and or gifts mean the world to someone in these situations. The quality of life for one dying, just knowing that someone cares, the new thrill of something to look forward to, can be life changing and life extending, for you both.
Join us in this program where ever you may live. Contact a hospital, nursing home or rehabilitation center. or visit an elderly person who just needs a friend to talk to. The time you spend with them will change your life as well as theirs.
