April
17-21, 2006
Teams of volunteers cleaned debris and raked a section of the
beach so that the residents of Waveland can once again have a
peaceful place to play and relax. Thousands of sunflower and Zinnia
seeds were distributed and planted to beautify the landscape.
Volunteers
from many places, including a group of 65 from Acts:
Disaster Response worked hard all week withThe
Giving Circle, Inc.'s applicants in Waveland
to help clear their yards of debris and take care of other rebuilding
jobs.
The
Spring Clean-up was kicked off by a HUGE Festival
and Easter Egg Hunt.
