GOOD NEWS!! UPDATE: Yvonne has received money to finish the reconstruction of her home. She is able to purchase the building materials but is in need volunteers/contractors to help with the building and is also in need of personal and household items.

My husband and I stayed in our house because he was disabled and I could not handle him in a shelter. I lived here in Camille and did not think we would flood but we had 5 1/2 feet of water in our house and lost everything. So far I have received very little help. I used my insurance money to have a roof put on and the people that did it were from out of town and did bad work. It leaked everywhere They would not come back so I had to buy new shingles and have it done again. A church group did the work and did a very good job but now I have no more funds and my husband died 3-18-06.
