More on our KoiKoi Teachers College Team’s Wonderful Days in Queensbury

For two days this week, the staff from the Queensbury school system hosted the team. They have been most kind and helpful. We have so much to do to bring together all the factors it will take to make this teachers college a reality. What our team is learning here will be invaluable in developing training programs for teachers. And, ultimately, the lessons learned here will assure the children in our schools greater success as this college transforms our pool of relatively weaker teachers into power houses of educational skills.

We have a new partner!  Students in the International Baccalaureate Program at Queensbury High School had a great meeting today with our dear friends from Uganda.  As part of their global learning, these terrific students are entering into a sister school relationship with our schools in Kagoma Gate and Busoga.

2018 Compassion Awards Thank you!

Dear TGC friends, thank you so much for attending our event and for your very generous donations. The Compassion Awards were a wonderful success!  Enjoy some pictures during the event.

We are very grateful!

Real Progress on the Hydroponics Project

The hydroponics project is getting closer and closer to start up at our Busoga school’s greenhouse.

Soon, as it produces fish and vegetables, our students’ nutrition will improve. Plus, we’ll see economic benefits in the savings associated with the reduced need to buy food AND in an income stream from the sale of surplus fish.

Great job, Lars P. Anholm! He’s poured his soul into this project . And, as usual, thank you Emma for overseeing the use of concrete in the construction process.

Congratulations AGAIN To Our Brother Ron

Mark says:

SO Proud of my brother from a different mother and The Giving Circle VP, Ron Deutsch.  He’s being honored by the Hunger Action Network of New York.  He’ll receive an award in New York City this Sunday at the Hunger Hurts – Human Right to Food Campaign Brunch.  The world needs more to stand up and emulate the actions of this VERY GOOD man.

Robin’s Nest: Terrific Progress In A Couple Of Weeks.

In these two week old pictures, we can see that the walls had started going up on The Giving Circle’s New Koi Koi House.  Moses has informed us that our super builder, Emma, has the ground floor walls all up and has started preparations for the top floor’s slab!
