Chess Tourney: Kagoma Gate in Top 10!

Just 4 years ago at the request of the local Ugandan Government, we drove  to visit people referred to “ the forgotten people”. That was Kagoma Gate Village, Uganda’s poorest village. We were asked could we build a school for a village that had never known education. Since that day we have made incredible advances thanks to so many of you!  The list includes:

  • 1st school block of 3 rooms
  • 2nd school block of 5 rooms under construction
  • first medical/birthing clinic
  • water
  • sanitation
  • kitchen feeding school children 2 meals a day
  • play ground

AND SO MUCH MORE!

TODAY we see the MOST amazing fruits of this dedication, compassion, generosity and love.
10 children from from our Kagoma Gate Friendship School, just 3 years into school, are playing chess at the Uganda National Championships!
The Giving Circle Kagoma Gate Friendship school girls are in 10th place and the boys in 5th!  AMAZING!
