Hi TGC friends, we have a really fun community event for all ages – especially recent high school graduates looking to connect with friends over Thanksgiving. Best of all this is an inexpensive fundraiser to benefit the Jose & Abigail Gonzalez family who lost their home and most of their possessions in a fire in August. It will be held at the Racing City Brewery from 4-7 on Black Friday, will include picnic fare, College Football Watching on big screens, and a corn hole tournament (for registered teams).
You probably recall that in late August the Gonzalez family lost their home in a fire. Jose Gonzalez is the Grounds Monitor at Saratoga High School – well loved by staff and students alike. His wife is a teacher at Greenfield Elementary. It took awhile, but they have finally found a new place to live. Now, it needs to be made wheel chair accessible, both inside and out, to accommodate their 19-year-old daughter.
This is work that The Giving Circle, a local nonprofit, can complete for free with a team of qualified professionals ready to donate their time However, expensive materials need to be purchased to complete this work, including special shower doors, safety bars, etc. So buy your event ticket today and sign up to register a two person corn hole team! Space is limited and we are hoping for a sell out!
