Thanks to our reputation for doing what we say we will; we have a good working relationship with the Ugandan Gov. This has allowed us to do our work in a Ugandan prison, the Jinja women’s’ prison.
To date we have provided for the women and children of this prison:
- Repaired all bunks, new blankets and bedding
- New water tank system
- Sewing machines and instruction teaching every inmate skills to be a tailor assuring a skill upon release. In addition items produced at the prison a
re sold providing improved food for the inmates and their children.
- Seeds and tools for gardening
- Sacks of food, personal care items for the inmates, clothing and toys for the children.
A great deal of the work done at the prison is thanks to The Nowhitney family’s Rosie Grant
