The Giving Circle is an all-volunteer organization founded on the principle of neighbor helping neighbor and community helping community. We believe that compassion knows no borders and that we all have a duty to help each other in this community and beyond.

How it all began

The Giving Circle, Inc. (TGC) is an all-volunteer non-profit organization based in Saratoga Springs, NY. The organization was founded in 2005 by Jefferson Award honoree Mark Bertrand, with a mission to seek out communities and individuals in need and connect them with those with the resources to help.

The Giving Circle, Inc. was initially started in response to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita where we worked to rebuild homes and lives in southern Mississippi. and has since expanded its efforts working locally and internationally…
