The Giving Circle
Six people on a motorcycle? Yup. It's one of the magical wonders of traveling to Uganda with The Giving Circle. A team of 25 leaves from Saratoga in about six weeks, and we are raising money to finish our new medical clinic in Mutai, and install solar power in Mutai and at our school in Kagoma Gate. This is your chance to help. Every dollar goes very far in Jinja. Click the link and support our work: www.thegivingcircle.org/donate-now/ And share this post far and wide. ... See MoreSee Less

The Giving Circle
Want to feel good about yourself? Read on, look at the pictures from a recent clinic day in the Ugandan village of Mutai and click on the link to help The Giving Circle continue to save lives in one of the poorest communities on earth. From last week:The Mitzen Medical Clinic is so, so, so close to its grand opening as a full-fledged mini-hospital, similar to what we would call an Urgent Care facility here in the United States. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the clinic’s construction is 100 percent complete. The Giving Circle’s dedicated nursing staff have been treating patients from Mutai and neighboring Kagoma Gate for more than a year. During our team trip in early July, we plan to install solar panels and a 10-kilowatt battery unit to provide power for blood and urine analysis, vaccine and pharmacy refrigerators, lab equipment, lights and other critical tools needed to treat patients. Our newest staff member, Dr. Daniel Muwanguzi, is diligently working to prepare the clinic for certification by the Ugandan Ministry of Health. Now, we’re calling on you once more — this time to help outfit the clinic with medical supplies and equipment. Here’s a partial list of what’s needed:Microscopes: $1,100Blood analyzer: $9,6004 computers and one printer: $2,0002 wheelchairs: $350 eachCentifruge: $800Pharmacy Fridge (2): $1,950 each Blood Pressure Monitors (4): $100 eachInfant Scale: $80Adult Scale: $100Pulse oximeter: $60Nebulizer: $125Oxygen concentrator: $800Chemistry analyzer: $6,750Antibiotics, anti-malarial drugs: $1,000In total, it will take more than $25,000 to turn The Giving Circle’s Mitzen Clinic into a small hospital/urgent care to meet the needs of about 600 families in Kagoma Gate and Mutai. You can help by donating at www.thegivingcircle.org/healthThank you so much for helping The Giving Circle realize this dream — and for saving lives in one of the most impoverished villages on earth. ...
