The Giving Circle, Inc. (TGC) is an all volunteer non-profit organization based in Saratoga Springs, NY. The organization was founded in 2005 by Jefferson Award nominee Mark Bertrand with a mission to seek out communities in need and connect them with those with the resources to help.
The Giving Circle, Inc. was initially founded in response to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and has since expanded its efforts working locally with the underserved families in Saratoga County including partnering with the City of Saratoga to found and operate Code Blue (emergency homeless shelter); nationally – continuing rehabilitation efforts in the Gulf Coast and NYC Area, and internationally with its The Giving Circle Africa (NGO), projects including The Koi Koi House orphanage, 2 schools, health clinic, farming and more in Uganda.
